The focus of the Ulster Rugby Schools of Excellence is on developing the skills and abilities of existing male and female rugby players.  The content and delivery of these camps has been developed in conjunction with, and endorsed by, Les Kiss – Ulster Rugby’s Director of Rugby.
 
Previous playing experience is essential in attending this camp
 
Ulster Rugby Schools of Excellence are player centred with delivery by our coaches directed to the needs of the participants. Development of the player's technical and tactical understanding is supported through the use of small sided games throughout the camp and participants will also be introduced to unit skills.

Booking Discount
A discount of £5 per child is available to anyone booking one child on more than one camp or anyone booking two or more children on one or more camps. Registration Pack
Camp fee includes a T-shirt, a water bottle, a rugby ball and promotional codes to claim a free ticket to an Ulster game at Kingspan Stadium and a free stadium tour, including a visit to the Nevin Spence Centre. 
 

Rugby Modules
The rugby activities across the 3 days will include the core rugby skills of rugby required by all to participate within the game. These skills will form the foundation of every camp and will be supported with the development of players’ tactical understanding of the game.

Contact
Appropriate levels of contact will be used through out the camp from Tag/Touch to grab and were suitable full contact (Tackle/Ruck).
 

 

Coaches
All camps are staffed by appropriately qualified and experienced IRFU accredited coaches.  Each camp is managed by an experienced member of staff from Ulster Rugby.
 

Participants should bring the following items with them:-
1. Enough food for break and lunch. We would ask that healthy food is provided, in order to encourage a healthy diet.
We would like to make you aware, that there are a number of children attending the camp who have severe nut allergies. In order to ensure that these children have a safe and enjoyable experience we would ask that no nut based food or food containing nuts are brought to the camp. Obviously this is a very serious concern and we would ask for your assistance in this matter. If any of the details you provided at the time of booking have changed (i.e. medical conditions, contact info, etc), can you please make the Camp Manager aware of this at registration.
2. Enough water to keep each participant hydrated through the day.
3. Waterproof clothing and a change of clothes should the weather require it.
4. Appropriate footwear for the ground conditions i.e. football/rugby boots and trainers.
5. Rugby specific safety equipment, a mouth guard is expected as a minimum.
